The Great Tsunami of December, 2004 was the worst natural disaster in recent history. On Thursday, January 13, 2005, 88.3 The Wind and the RTN family of stations began a project to build new homes for displaced families in southern India - The Homes Of Hope Tsunami Relief Effort....

That effort - a 3-hour fundraising campaign to raise $75,000 to build 75 homes - became so much more than any of us ever expected. The hearts of our listeners were moved and by the end of the fundraising time nearly one million dollars was donated to the rebuilding effort.
